Dawn Fasig

LMT WV 2017-3566

A keen interest in the healing properties of herbs and their more traditional uses blossomed into studying herbalism lead me to the study of natural self-care. I have always had a strong affinity for touch as a sense and love working with my hands, whether in the garden, sewing, spinning, sculpting, or weaving – I am happiest when I am in motion and my hands are busy.

Massage is a natural next step for me, and in 2017 I became a licensed massage therapist. I found that I enjoy expanding my knowledge of the human body and I truly enjoy learning different modalities used in clinical settings. As much as I enjoyed learning various deep tissue techniques and how to utilize stretching, my path also lead toward the pursuit of energy work. Even before my licensure, I was began instruction in Reiki and Polarity Balancing. This path has strengthened my conviction that healing is not only a physical process, but one that is most effective with the integration of both energy and bodywork to return the body to balance.

Marlee Dibert

At an early age, I recognized how simply painted fingernails or a glossy lip made the females around me walk and speak with confidence. That visual shaped my interest in makeup and my path to becoming a professional makeup artist. I studied cosmetology during high school and after graduation obtained a license in cosmetology from Altoona Beauty School.

Turning my career towards beauty makeup, I was accepted to Douglas Education Center in the Tom Savini Special Effects Makeup Program and in 2013 received an Associate Degree in Specialized Business. In this program I learned the art of theatrical makeup editorial makeup, sculpting, lifecasting, and body and face painting. These skills helped to form my basis for beauty and fashion makeup. Since 2012, I have worked in the salon/spa settings gaining valuable experience in hair cutting, coloring, styling, nails, microdermabrasion, oxygen facials, eyebrow threading and eyelash extensions. Also during this time, I began my dream career as a Freelance Makeup Artist working with several talented photographers to provide beauty and fashion makeup and hair for weddings, senior photos and fashion photos shoots.

Since becoming certified to perform eyelash extensions through Lavish Lashes, I have offered this service to my clientele. I am now working out of Somatic Wellness Massage Therapy and Salt Spa to offer eyelash extensions, facials and beauty and fashion consulting to their menu of services. I am available to book appointments online at massagewv.com/ . I proudly use the Lavish Lashes products and offer a private and relaxing atmosphere for your beauty experience.

“There is nothing better than the feeling I get when watching a woman look into the mirror and smile at her transformation.” That feeling is what drives me to pay close attention to the specific needs of each client. When you look your best, you feel your best and when you feel your best, you are unstoppable!
